And most people don't play Zelda games. I can go around and name people who can't name the villain and main character of Zelda. Most well say Zelda.

But I bet you everyone knows who Mario, Luigi, Bowser, and Peach are.

The main character is Link, and the villain is Gannon. I'm pretty sure, all the zelda games I've played except 3 had ganon as the villain. and the 3 that didn't have gannon (that I've played.) where the minish cap, and oracle of seasons, and oracle of ages (and oracle of seasons and ages had gannon as a secret boss). other zelda games without gannon are: The wind waker, majoras mask (I think.), and I think that's it. Who is strong enough to throw King Bowser Koopa around who must weigh a ton, who has been in almost every sport and was capable of mastering them all, who managed to defeat Koopalings, Bowser, Bowser Jr., Wart, Wario, and many more foes. Who has many different powers such as Fire Flower, Metal Cap, Feather, and now a Blue Turtle Shell. Please if anything no one supports Mario in matches anymore.

Im not saying hes an underrated or overrated character, but whatever happened to toad? Sure, hes in every mario game, but think back, the only game he was playable in was super mario bros 2

And SF are HORRIBLY underrated, people seem to think they play like they do in the games with all the limitations, the problem is, people don't understand the various amounts of media out there and so much of their powers, (like wiping out mountains and comets), so its pointless arguing with people who think they're scrubs who shoot slow fireballs. And yes I average out their media, I know what I'm talking about.

Overrated game characters:

- Master Chief (no personality whatsoever).

- Paul and Eddy from Tekken. I just dont like them.

- Sephiroth from FF VII. He had cool music surrounding him, and a cool sword, but he was nothing special.

- Tony Hawk / Tiger Woods.

- Crash Bandicoot.

- The Umbrella Corporation (Gosh I wonder who is responsible for those zombies...).

- John Mullins from Soldier of Fortune.

- King Kong from the recent PS2/X-Box games. He had like two or three moves, that's it.

- Spyro (the was a time he was actually pretty cool and funny...)

- Any creature from Black & White.

- That bearded guy from Half-Life what’s his name.

- unknown hero from Shadow of the Colossus (not a bad game though)

- Sonic. He gets on my nerves.

- Lara Croft. Cold as ice.

Um, Kratos is not overrated. He went through that entire game and slayed everything in his damn way. The fact that he slew the damn hydra is reason enough that he is underrated. Killing Sparda wasn't the only feat Kratos did.

Dude. Do NOT say that DBZ characters are overrated. They are some of the strongest characters in the HISTORY of fantasy. Because they are strong does not mean they are "overrated." Almost every DBZ character can take a certain character from another game. Give the damn devils their due.

I will agree with you ESB that Mario is an underrated character, and single handedly made Video games what they are today. And sorry Vin, Nintendo would be at Ground-Zero if it weren't for the Mario Franchise.

I happen to think that Jak from the Jak trilogy is an underrated character. What with his light powers and dark powers and his firepower. The guy has it all.

Overrated could also mean making something cooler than it "really is", but since "cool" is entirely subjective... well.

Yes, I'm sure SUPERHEROES would seem overrated. I don't see how anybody could find Mario to be overrated unless they are in denile and refuse to believe the truth, and Jak sure as hell isn't overrated, his powers are great and they allow you to use them in small portions so you aren't in "God mode."

overrated: Fayt Linegod, Naruto, that Luffy bastard from One Piece, the Z Warriors (they're powerful, but lame characters), Inuyasha BY FAR

Master Chief isn't overrated... he's just a cool character that's a victim of a game with an over-hyping fanbase

underrated: Vampire Hunter D, Mario, Zidane (so he's chibi and has a tail, what's yer prob?)

lol, I'd have to say MC fanboys are worse than Inuyasha fanboys, but maybe that's just me.
