Already posted in another thread, but I felt like making my final update in here, since this is where we were tracking it originally:

Domestic: $200,006,305 51.3%
+ Foreign: $190,000,000 48.7%

= Worldwide: $390,006,305

Seems as though we'll be getting that sequel.

The production budget, by liberal accounts, was 270 mil, so worldwide, they made 120mil profit.

Next time they'll be able to make it a little cheaper, and understand things better, plus 20 mil won't be wasted on Nic Cage before a single frame of film is recorded. 😛

Add to that the characters and the series are now re-introduced, and we're free to on with teh action!

Millions won't be wasted on some particular effect shots that fizzled rather than banged.

And now there'll be even less hype than before this movie.

I think a Supes throw down with some supervillain will generate more hype/action and will please general audiences more.
