Daily Preaching #1
By Da Rev.
With the approaching holiday for us Americans, we notice that the gas prices are rising, which may cause despair. Then we start to notice that the traffic is horrid on the day before and after and the day of the holiday, which might anger some. We all need to take a second and view how this world is and how we are treating the world. A lot of us don’t even look at the world with a whole view. We like to see things how we would like to see them. We only look through our own eyes, and how we have to live life. This filters us on how we can feel for others and feel for the less fortunate. You people are wealthy enough to have a computer, and a home that that computer is housed in, tons of people don’t even have this. I walk around downtown and I see the truth of how this world treats others. We don’t think that the homeless deserve anything, because they are getting what they deserve. No one deserves to be homeless, no one deserves to not have a place to go, or have a family to be loved or give love to anyone. Some of them aren’t even the alcoholics everyone thinks they are. Now, they are victims of the tsunami or of hurricane Katrina, now they’re homeless. Which is why I think that the best charities are the ones working for the homeless, and the other best charities, are the ones working for diseases, and the ones to end world hunger. I cant even think of a bad charity, unless it’s a food drive for the KKK.
So in conclusion, to end the first preaching by your friend, Da Rev. The people these days are doing the charities for all the wrong reason. I’m only talking about a few. The ones I’m talking about are the ones that think that doing or supporting a charity will get them some sort of fame, and make people like them. So in the case of that, I would like to end with a quote from Mahatma Ghandi, “ In doing something, do it with love or never do it at all“.
Be good to each other, with your hearts, and with your KMC soul.
Peace be with you
