Sentry Respect Thread

destroying Bob, theyre showing us more and more at the least. he's intended to be the most powerful character on Earth. theres alot about Sentry we dont know yet and i think in a few months alot of people will end up surprised

yeah, i read it. i dont disagree that Genis was the most powerful of the two, and i actually liked him more. in a Vs match i would root for Genis because he has alot of options at his disposal. but being lesser than Genis doesnt denote that he's pretty mega either. Sentry was holding up against Genis and presenting himself as a problem to take out by convential methods. thats still a decent feat. its like when someone says to me well yeah but so and so got knocked out by Gladiator. thats not a low showing. thats an honor. and if they held there own for awhile against someone high caliber its a feat.
thats what im trying to say.

again...can anyone post the whole battle with Gennis please???

Yes, its a high feat for Sentry. If thats all your trying to indicate,,,,its been noted many times.

That free comic book day feat you showed I'm sorry to say was just horrible. If Thors hammer back in the day use to just hurt Ymir but barely and hits from Surtur did the same at times but suddenly Sentry can go through his head with ease? What makes it even worse was Luke cage(25tons) threw wolverine for a fast ball special and he even went into Ymirs eye? So that was really horrible writing if Wolverine could even get inside his eye and Ares kept saying he is and elemental force. We knew this but back in the day that elemental force had a body. What makes it worst of all was the fact Thor with the odinforce couldn't do anything. He even lost that fight and they made Sentry and Luke cage with Wolverine look stronger?

even compared to stalemating Genis-Vell. whether people like it or not,
Sentry is meant to be the most powerful character on Marvel Earth at this point, and this comes straight from the authority. theres not much to argue about that, since not everything about this rich and interesting character has been revealed.

request to the thread makers: please include Void in this thread and post more scans of him as well as they are both respective halves of the same entity.

Um dude they are trying to give Sentry hype not make him the most powerful. They keep claiming he has the power of million exploding suns, he cuts loose on Hulk and he barely shows the power of one sun. He barely destroyed the city block they were at. When thor let loose the power of thousand suns its enough to destroy and entire galaxy or Surtur. So how can Sentry have 1million not be able to defeat Hulk and destroy earth by mistake, but at the same time Thor did just 1,000 suns and has enough energy to destroy an entire galaxy or universe? Back in the day Marvel stated Thor to be the strongest. The most powerful is Silver Surfer and Dr. Strange who have dealt with Threats that make Sentrys villains look like rookies.

As for at this point the most powerful with be the guy who gained the force which is enough to lets say destroy a galaxy, remake a galaxy, transport the 6 billions of beings on earth to a limbo, and give him enough power to take on Surtur. Did you guess yet? Yep its THOR. He is suppose to be the most powerful hero at the moment since he gained the force.

The void is cool and all but he can't have a respect thread. How many feats would you actually see of him in the thread? Would it even equal out to a page? Then after that people would start posting Skrull pictures of when they disguised themself as the Void. He would have to get squeezed in here.

Its pretty obvious that the Sentry the most powerful on earth. I gonna say its not hype. That really doesnt even make sense why they would hype him up so much and then show him out to be weak.

What are you talking about? Ymir had the twilight sword 😐 , the incarnation that appeared had not a physical body, but Thor obviously fought him in a way that he could damage him and try to destroy him, not like Wolverine which meant nothing to Ymir (who only cared about the Avengers when he saw Ares).

Just because a character seems interesting on paper, doesn't mean anything if the writer doesn't know what to do with him. (I'm looking at you Bendis) Frankly the Sentry is approaching the level of a completely unlikable character which is a pity considering his initial potential.

yes but that is only your opinion. I dont mind the sentry. I like the character, I just wish they would stop with all this confusing stuff they have been throwing out at us. It gets annoying after awhile.
