I mean, after facing basilisks and other crazy crap like he has, I'd sure want a quieter life. Ya know?
What got me was his kids didn't know he was a hero. I took that to mean, "Daddy's not out hunting down dark wizards."
Yeah... quiet - not necessarily boring. I wonder if he did end up at least trying to be an auror though... that was what he wanted to become.
