Nah.Look into a good building/cutting cycle, and make sure you hit the biggest groups. You'll be buff in no time.

A building/cutting cycle is something a lot of bodybuilders do, though it's pretty well designed for most people. Unless you're ridiculously overweight, it's VERY hard to lose fat and gain muscle mass simultaneously, and if you do, it's very inefficient. If you focus only on cutting fat or building muscle, you'll do that particular thing much more quickly.
However, clearly, you'd probably not only want to be big, you want to be defined. That's why you cycle. Depending on your individual needs and desires, anywhere from a four to eight week of each cycle would probably be ideal. During the building phase, you eat tons of carbs and protein, and you rape your muscles in the gym every chance you get (while avoiding overtraining, of course). The BIG groups I was talking about were chest, back, and legs. The big three exercises for strength training are bench press, deadlift, and squat. Of course, you should never neglect accessory groups - so on bench days, make sure you work the tris and shoulders. On back days, it's a good idea to hit biceps as well, and leg days, well, do EVERYTHING you can find.
Working your core daily is not only acceptable, it's ideal. Even if you don't want to go to the gym to do it, a hundred crunches in the morning, a hundred after you get out of class, and you shouldn't be too bad.
Then after a certain amount of time, you start the cutting cycle, where you still work out about as often but with MUCH less intensity. You aren't looking to get stronger in the cutting cycle, just maintain the strength gains you've made. As for food, you drop the calories down significantly and try to do some extra cardio - cutting is all about getting the nice hard lines on your arms and stomach.
If you need more detail as far as what is good to eat during either phase, and what exercises you may wanna focus on, you can go ahead and PM me. Good luck.

Just tell him to eat right, and exercise. He should be fine in about 10 years... 😱 😂

How does it work for girls?
well it just isnt as easy for women to maintain there weight! men burn more calories then women (they also take in more calories!) but it is easier for a man to stay in shape than a women. men are naturally more lean then women . . . .
i have to watch what i eat and exercise to stay looking healthy and my boyfriend eats all the bread he wants and looks great!
women dont usually have a problem gaining weight they usually have a problem losing it
