I think Barbossa's curse was already lifted. He was eating his apple right the one thing swear to do right after the curse would be lifted.

Tia Dalma said that there be a way to get jack and the pearl back right. barbossa was probably brought back the same way and barbossa now knows of how to do it so he now is the one given the task by Tia Dalma to lead them

The monkey is still cursed because at the end of the last movie after the credits he went back and stole a piece of treasure from the chest..Barbossa's curse is lifted.

It is sickening how great a movie can be.

The DVD is December 5th, I already got it reserved at the Disney store, but I was really mad when I found out, that you could do the same thing at Wal-Mart, It also brings the music CD that Johnny Depp was working on, The Pirates songs.
