i bet those detonators were actually for there own boat, because that seems like something Joker would do

That's actually something I was thinking while watching, too...

Overall, that's one of my favorite scenes, after watching it again (didn't go to the theater this time, I copped out and watched it online)

That is what I thought. When one of my guy friends said he would have done it I was like I would have hesitated because the Joker is not as straight forward as he seems

Seeing this for the fifth time I really have to give it up to Gary Oldman. Man he was so amazing in this film. Especially

Spoiler:
during that scene where they were scoping out taking out the hostages and Batman told them to give him 5 minutes and he was like "no we have clear shots!" and "We have to save Dent...I...have to save Dent!".
Man his delivery there was amazing. I know Heath and his Joker clearly stole the show but the more I see this movie the more I am just amazed at how good the acting was all around and how strong the cast was. That's really one of the things that made this movie so superior as well.

During the movie I was thinking

Spoiler:
The boat with the criminals would have pressed the button but it was the trigger to their own boat and they would have blown up

Would have been shocking

I completely disagree with what everyone's saying about the detonators. Because

Spoiler:
if the detonators had been for their own ships, it would have been a morality lesson. "They brought about their own destruction trying to destroy others; if only they'd done the right thing, they'd still be alive." And it would be completely against the Joker's character to do something like that.

Spoiler:
I think the Joker would have thought it was funny if they blew themselves up. Dead people can't learn a morality lesson, they're dead. And he assumed anyway that both of them were going to push the button. I'm not saying that he did give them the detonators to their own boats but I am saying if I was in that situation knowing the Joker I wouldn't be 100% sure that what he said was the straight forward truth so I would have been hesistant to use the detonator anyway thinking it's totally possible that it could blow up my boat as well.

very true! you never do know what that sadistic clown has up his sleeve!

+ he was trying to show Gotham that everyone could at some point
do wrong & also for all Gothamites to loose hope!... in which the scenario he put them in, would have worked out...(but thats all, cause im not spoiling!)

I thought the detonators would have been for their own ships for sure. It IS the Joker.

After all, when the surviving boat found out that the others were planning on blowing them up, they would be extremely pissed right? Like "Those People were going to murder us! Those ****ERS! I'm glad they are dead! They were gonna kill us!"

sounds like something the Joker would get satisfaction from.

"Rrrr rrrris he?!?"

"Do you speak bat? Is that what bat sounds like?"

Awesome parody...

I was a little funny

I think it was funny if you thought that Bat voice was bad. The parody ran a little long but I think it had some funny parts, lol

they're already making parodies??

can't wait for the next MTV Movie Awards

does anyone have the poster/wallpaper of Harvey Dent holding up his badge??

So can someone please tell me

Spoiler:
who the hell were the five people Dent killed that Batman took the wrap for?? I counted the dirty cop, Maroni I assumed died with the driver. Who are the other two? I assumed Ramirez got let go with the coin being flipped good side up...so who else?!?

That's a good question...

Perhaps it's:

Spoiler:

-Sal Maroni
-The two guys in the bar
-Maroni's driver

There's 4... 1 more left, though...

Spoiler:
Himself? at the end but the coin said he lives.
Spoiler:
is the machine batman/fox uses to track down the joker a early version of brother eye?
