Alright. So how is Will's dad alive? Or rather, undead? Wasn't he deep underwater somewhere? Meaning, that when the curse was lifted, he would have suffocated. But not only is he not dead, he's UNDEAD. If the curse was lifted, even if he somehow survived, he's supposed to be ALIVE... Yet he's still undead... Anyone know why?

While Bootstrap Bill was at the bottom of the ocean, unable to move and unable to die, he thought that he would do anything to escape that torture. So Davy Jones makes a deal with him.

But then, why is he still undead? Wouldn't he be alive if the curse was lifted?

Nope, he agreed to 100 years of service to Davy Jones, therefore he must serve 100 years of service (well, now an eternity after the dice game), unless of course Jack, Will, etc 'defeat' Davy Jones first.

to add onto that....he gave his soul to davy jones BEFORE the curse was lifted. that's why ragetti said he was will's "twice-cursed father"
