That seems a bit childish to me. If someone insults you, the mature thing to do is ignore it. Not headbutt them on international TV.

he did ignore it and he walked away but Materazzi said something (cant wait to find out what) so he went back and did what he did.

But still, no matter what he shouldn't have headbutted him. He should've kept his cool and ignored it....the mature thing to do. It was the wrong thing to do period. Which is exactly why he was issued a red card.
