Yes I am aware that this should technically be in the SW forums, but I think I would get a more diverse answer in here.
The saga has been complete for over a year now.

I am only doing this as an "Anti-whine" thread.
I used to hang out in the SW forums for a long time.
You would get the occasional noob who would start shit, people who just complain all the time about whatever, and some you would swear that they had fully turned their back on these movies.
So i'm just saying Hey:

Yeah, the only prequel one that IMO came any close to the OT story-wise was TPM, even though a majority regard it as the worst prequel episode...srug
The other two dont even have a story, its all 'lets pull off a bigger fight than the last one'. AOTC doesnt even have any structure in itself in regards to plotline, and doesnt even fit within the saga. The PT might somehow fit logically within the timespan with GL throwing whatever excuses in to clear it up, but it doesnt have that engagement the OT had. A rebel pilot dies in the OT and you feel sorry for him, and just want them to kick the Empire's ass even harder. A clone pilot dies in the PT and its just 'oh that was a cool explosion'. Where were the cool smugglers in the PT? Where were the bounty hunters (besides Jango)? Where were the dumpy, dirty cantinas? The PT had no 'dirt' whatsoever. Kamino, god that place looks like its polished every hour.
But regardless of all that, they are cool movies and I love them all equally for every new thing each episode brings.
Each one is a testament to filmaking mastery, achievement in realistic visual effects (computer and model) that are more realistic than whatever was out before it, and the awesome power of determination.
One man with an idea, with a vision, singlehandedly changed filmaking, changed Hollywood, and invented a whole new kind of movie.
And the best part, he does it himself.
Being a genius, Lucas was able to secure the rights to his sequels before the release of the original StarWars, and has been in total control of each one since.
Wether you like all of the films, or hate some parts in each one (as I do), you know that you are seeing something that nobody else could show you, and certainly not for the price which Lucas can make it for.
(each prequel's budget was about 120 mil.)
These movies are legendary.
