this happens when someone makes a thread, mostly of an asinine theory/demand/opinion which has gaping holes from the get-go. when a genuine and valid point is brought up which possible renders their point moot, they will simply ignore it. after ignoring it they will ask the same question, often directly at the person they ignored.
at this point you can either paste your previous response or take the time to paraphrase yourself. either way it doesnt matter, as you will likely be ignored again...and then asked again.
this tactic works hand in hand with "Reversal of Blame"
often times they will put any negativity/off-topic posting/flaming/sarcasm etc under a microscope and divert the topic to just that, in an attempt to push the thread to its next page, apparently in an attempt to... 'sweep it under the rug'.
