To Be Put to the Question

Torture is wrong. I don't care what the person did, or supposedly did, torture should never be an option. I find it sickening that the US could possibly torture someone they believe guilty of planning a terrorist attack, when that person happens to be totally innocent. And anyway, does anyone really think torturing known terrorists is going to make them reveal any plans to blow up America? I think not.

never been tortured have you?

Honestly there has never been any real proof that the US has "tortured" anyone. Agressive interrogation has been admitted, but not torture.

Secondly, someone under real torture would say anything to get it to stop. You'd sell out your mother for a few seconds free of pain.

As I've said before though, the people I'd really like to see get tortured are the sicko child molesters. I wouldn't be interested in anything they had to say, just in giving them a prolonged, agonizing death. Darn that cruel and unusual punishment clause.

ok honestly not ALL torture is wrong. in certain situations it is VERY necessary and SHOULD be used. but heres the thing. if u look closely at the psychology of torture there are TWO very distinct kinds. the type used to INTIMIDATE a detainee and the type used for the PLEASURE of the torturer and these are very easily recognized but i wont go into detail about that here. the type being used in most prisons including american ones is almost wholly the sadistic pleasureable one and the world in general. intimidative torture is psychological shock associated with the physical impact of beating or a powerful surprise punch and the murderous look in the eye of the torturer. the sadistic kind however doesnt care about INTIMIDATING the person as much as making them feal completely the physical pain slowly being inflicted upon him/her and in the long term psychologically creating despair and submisson instead of fear of death and shock. thats my take on the matter so some form of torture NEEDS to be there so that a bastard terrorist from a genocidal organization or a leader with war crimes cant boldly look in the detainers face and spit or mockingly laugh knowing that no matter WHAT the man CANT touch him/her, thats giving rights to the prisoner that take away the rights of civilians and sumthing he doesnt deserve. but we shpould realize that this sort of torture isnt really practiced, but most if not all torture these days is of the other very wrong kind.

Nope. I'd prefer to keep it that way, too.
