Most Epic song in a movie.

songs under the lines of clint mansell- requim for a dream, es pothemus, craig armstrong- escape, songs by john williams, anything... name them off.

Chariots of Fire
Ride of the Valkyries (Apocalypse Now village scene)
I would say the Gladiator soundtrack, but I'm none too sure if that qualifies as songs.

I think what could be added to that is all the battle/duel music from the Star Wars movies. Of course, they all go under jehovahsbelial's category of "songs by john williams".

Neodammerung in the Matrix Revolutions.

The Batlle of Pellenor Fields - Lord of the Rings Soundtrack

The Godfather theme, Especially the trumpet solo, that always gives me chills when I hear it.

Duel of the fates - SW EP1

Duel of the Heros - SW EP 3

Both of those are really moving while you are watching the fights ✅

yup, but it was "Battle of the Heroes" in EPIII. 😖mart:

Oh, thanks for the correction 😉

Ahem, "Battle of the Heroes" 😄

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly film score by Ennio Morrcone (sp?)

That's just a classic.

Orale! "The Godfather Waltz" is a great song! I also love that trumpet solo at the beginning (very ominous indeed), followed by the violin solo. By the way, I can play that song on the accordion. The Godfather Sountrack is Nino Rota's best work in my opinion.

I also like "Binary Sunset" (Luke Skywalker's theme) and "The Theme from Jurassic Park", two great orchestral songs by John Williams.

Correction

3 years later, I was just reading this thread and I saw that you named the song "Duel of the Heroes" when I beleive it is called "A hero falls" from ep. III. None of you probably even use this site anymore but i couldn't help myself 😛 . So if this helps anyone in ANY way, you're welcome, if this wastes anyone's time, sorry.

"The End of Heartache" by Killswitch Engage -- Resident Evil: Apocalypse OST

Requiem for a Dream by Clint Mansel comes to mind.

I also like the opening theme for Resident Evil by Manson.

And off course, Star Wars music is choice.

Purple Rain

All the songs in the original Transformers movie.

"You got the touchhhhhhhhhhhh........." lolz
(I loved "The escape" and other more instrumental stuff on that movie. That tune even got used in Turrican on the c64, such was its epicness. 😄 )

I was thinking about this and which band would have done the most epic music in movies:
And Queen did some pretty epic work on qiute a few.

"Flash............! Ahh-ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...!!! King of the impossible!!!!"

Besides that, other epic queen songs all as used in Highlander. And "Dont stop me now" in that epic, epic pool cue beating session in "Shaun of the dead."

And lets not forget the uber-epic 'Bohemian Rhapsody' scene in Waynes world.

But for Non-Queen epicness, The Blade runner soundtrack, SW, The movie score for Aliens (That bit playing as Ripley goes in in the APC to rescue the marines is my favorite), The Wrath of Khan and Die Hard. The best though, other than the imperial march, has to be the truck scene from Raiders.....surely.
