Both are essentially fantasy backups though.

If you switched in, say, Stephen Jackson for one of them I'd agree to it. As it is, I have to go with Alexander's long-term potential rather than getting two guys that would fill a temporary need but wouldn't win me any fantasy titles.

i woudlnt say either are fantasy backups.. in a regular 10-12 team league both are likely to start. And both have performed on par or better with alexander so far. Stephen Jackson I wouldnt even do 1for1 right now hes playing like one of the best backs in the league and the Rams look like they remember the greatest show on turf days.

but its no biggy i didnt expect you to give him up, people always have a hard time letting go of guys that are supposed to be big time studs.

so i gotta add a D this week in a league, and I dont really want to drop seattle cause they will have so many good matchups left this year. So its gotta be Terry Glenn/Toomer/Berian/Galloway

I could drop deangello williams because i have mcgahee/LJ/Mcalister in a league that starts 2, but I still think Deangello is gonna have pretty good value by years end.

And with Carr and Culpepper at QB i dont wanna risk getting rid of the newly aquired Leinart. (do i dare start leinart this week? i mean culpepper at NE yikes...)

I think im leaning towards Galloway because of the lack of an O-line or a QB.

Does anyone think Bernard Berrian's (WR, CHI0 productivity can last?

Sheeesh, what a torrid start?! 😑

sure why not. Muhammed requires a lot of attention. The run game is good. And most of all berrian is a burner, it only takes one small mistake to let him get behind you for the deep ball. Also the D is gonna get them good field position and nice opportunities all year, and they have the easiest schedule of any team meaning they play some weak D's.

Forum, you said exactly what I was hoping to hear! Thanks....justifies my logic. 🙂

Yeah, I'd cut Joey forum. He barely showed up when Simms was in the lineup so he'll probably be miserable now. I'm currently starting Colston ahead of him in one of my leagues.

Who do I go for this week?

Carnell Wiliams or Maurice Drew?

Eeesh. Always choose the starter.....thus Caddy. But, hope for the best on this one. ...could backfire.

with simms out now caddy really is the only hope of the offense doing anything. however, if caddy couldnt perform with simms hows he going to without him? Also do we all remember what the saints did to the #1 run team in the NFL on monday night?

im not sure if the TB O-line is healthy or not yet, I know they had lost a LT for the year, but from the start of the season they were missing 2 lineman.

bottom line

Caddy hasnt broke 50 yards yet
averages 2.5 yards a carry
longest run is 11 yards

I would say Drew
Caddy will get the ball more and he will prolly get you 30-60 yards a TD if your very lucky. Those couple points from a poor yardage day arnt gonna win you anything. Drew has a bigger chance of a big day. If you get poitns for return yards your garunteed some there, and hes carried the ball in every game (all though often very limited) He was only limited last week because the skins totaly shutdown the run, this is something the Jets arnt gonna do. Drew also catches the ball very well and has recieving TD's in back to back games. I think his upside is bigger at this point and until cadilac proves he has value why believe he does?

Yeah, but the Falcons are a gimmick (rushing) offense, for lack of a better phrase. ...personally don't see them as the best rushing team as half the yards come from Vick (AND most from passing situations no less because he's a bad QB).

yea but warrick Dunn is also the #3 rusher in the NFL and thats after being shutdown by NO.. and ATL does do designed QB runs. its not just a gimmick D's have to plan for it so its that much harder to play the run straight up. THey run a college type option where if vick sees the right hole he will hand it to dunn otherwise keep it for himself. They also have the fastest mofo ever in Norwood who can break it at any moment.

Duly noted. And, don't get me wrong...was knocking your comment/statement per se. While they are (statistically) the league's best rushing offense, in my opinion they really aren't, based on everything I said and some of things you said above. 😉

well no they dont have the best RB's but they are the best rushing offense.. i mean if you rush for the most yards and the most per carry your the best i cant really see how theres any other way of looking at it. I also think warrick Dunn has a shot at the rushing title every year. The only problem was trading TJ they miss him on goal line. They need to start employing Justin Griffith to fill that void.

I'm starting Cadillac in my own league over a few others (Deuce, Tatum, etc.).

I'm willing to give him one more week.

I might too....well its tough.

caddy over deuce vs GB?

How about Norwood? He's a beast, no?

um yea norwood is a beast but hes tiny. Hes built like Dunn is hes small and incredibly fast, thats not goal line material. TJ was a bruiser who could pound it up the middle.
