Fantasy Football Discussion

I wonder if I should keep Cassel. He is playing soso, but maybe he just isnt used to the Pats Offense.

Which raises another question, should I keep Moss? Dammit this is the part I hate, the if's and's but's and maybe's.

Moss and Burress SIX POINTS TOTAL.........

I might be 3-0, but I never thought I would say that my KMC team could possibly outscore my money team. I need big days from Barber and Favre, and Rivers to do nothing, because I'm down by around 44.

Wonder how many people had Ronnie Brown on the bench? lol I did....luckily I should still win.

Palmer ****ing scores 20 points on the bench, figures.

Fantasy is all ****ing luck.

QFT

Nah, there's some skill involved. Sure, a monkey using auto-draft will win some games. But run enough iterations of the league, and the average placement of owners who know football, and fantasy football, inside and out, will be significantly higher than those whose knowledge is not as thorough.

Still, luck plays a huge role sometimes. My main team is facing Ronnie Brown AND Turner today. Woo. Shame is, I'm having a great day overall. Solid efforts from everyone. But it won't be enough.

I also stomped forum. 😄

Soo true. I had a perfect opportunity for Jacobs to get another touchdown, but since it was OT, the Giants only needed a FG. And in the Vikings game on 4th down they get the sack at the 10, with 2:33 left. Another perfect opportunity for Peterson but instead the knee it 4 times for a turnover on downs. And now with the Cowboys game at the end of the half, if there was more time on the clock I would guarantee a Barber TD.

True, but in reality, its still luck.

I need a GOOD TE, people, lets talk......

Football has a lot of luck involved. Rotisserie style baseball is about the most "skilled" fantasy there is.

Yep. If Brady were not hurt, that is an automatic 25 points. Moss owners are screwed and it trickles down.

There were some really odd games yesterday. Anyone who put Brown up was just lucky because there was no way Brown seemed like a logical start yesterday but he certainly will not be replicating even half that production the rest of the season.

A lot of random luck factors play in every week.

Thats why Manning used to be such a good play because he was always so consistent.

Not anymore.

Ronnie Brown will probably get a nationwide 98% fantasy start next game vs. Chargers...where he'll probably rush 11 times for 8 yards.

Hahahah yeppers.

I've won 3 of 4 championships in my money leagues. I'm sticking with "skill" until it is socially pertinent to switch in order to save face.

😉

But this league is completely luck. Completely. Otherwise I would've won every year.

😮

Also, my team facing Brown and Turner is in the lead going into Monday. I might be the only person in the country that can say that. Solid team effort >> Star Power. The rest of his team reeks, so there's something to be said for relying on more than just luck. Of course, I got lucky because his team reeked, so meh.

not exactly true. Brown was the #1 RB last year until he got hurt. He was a points machine. If they get back to him touching the ball 25-30 times a game (through runs and catches) he can put up monster points.

I can't believe I didn't start Ronnie Brown this week. I still have a good chance of winning this week, but having him start would have made it no contest.

True. If he's 100%, the performance isn't as surprising. He's a top 5 back when healthy.
