Good for thor fans i suppose...

well and blob.

Big bump, but why not...

just bought the face off daredevil and kingpin... i don't know what the story is with the variants in that series, but the toyshop near where i work has all the face-off series 1 variants...

btw, anyone seen these new DC Superheroes figures by Mattel? They're basically DC's attempt at doing Marvel Legends, and though the first series was a tad shite, the later series' are pretty f*ckin awesome...

i've got:

Superman (Series 2) http://www.mwctoys.com/REVIEW_040306b.htm
Batman (Series 3) http://www.mwctoys.com/REVIEW_082106b.htm
Darkseid (Series 4 or 5, i'm not sure) http://www.mwctoys.com/REVIEW_092506a.htm
Lex in Battle Armour (same again)

the next one on my list is Steel, he looks frickin sweet...

http://www.mwctoys.com/REVIEW_020507a.htm

the only real difference is the height, Superman say isn't as tall as Thor would be, but in proportion to each other (supes and DS for example), they're spot on...

if these got enough support, DC should be making other figures (as for now, they're only doing Batman and Superman related characters, still waiting on Kon-El and Nightwing tho), and if they do i'd be first in line...

Time to bump an old thread.

I wanted to know what peoples thoughts were on the Hasbro Marvel legends?

personaly I don't think they are up to the standard set by toybiz and some of them are just down right fugly!

So far out of the Hasbro ones I have Planet Hulk, which is a decent figure, King Thor, which I like a lot apart from the hammer looks terrible!

She Hulk, which is just terrible but I wanted a she Hulk figure and Hercules which is so, so.

Personaly I wish Toybiz would come back anyone else got any thoughts?

Do the Hasbro toys have the power grid on the back yet?

No they don't.

Just a quick fact file on name, height, weight and powers.

They are also a little out of scale with the Toybiz stuff which isn't good either.

You forgot the best one by far... Mongul.
http://www.mwctoys.com/REVIEW_041607a.htm
Otherwise, I want that Darkseid, and the Mongul.

Also, Superman is the right height, since he shouldn't be as tall as Thor.
He's bigger than Wonderman, and people like that though.

The best one is Emma Frost...

Although, I like the Herc, and Annihilus, otherwise the rest of them are pretty bad.

i only saw mongul after i'd made the post... 😛

he does look awesome... and darkseid is sweet...

i meant in general, superman seems short to me in comparison to some of the marvel legends... i could be wrong though...

one of the guys on fwooshnet made an emma frost that is imo far better than the one hasbro have brought out, i think hasbro made a mess of her big time...

Thus far:

Marvel Legends: Sasquatch, Deadpool, Ghost Rider, Juggernaut, Doop

I want other Alpha Flight Legends, but Hasbro has been making horrible renditions lately. Anyone see their Cannonball? just awful

DC announces DC Universe Classics!

the first run to be released in January, this is Dc's actual Marvel Legends competition... first run has Batman, Red Tornado, The Penguin, Etrigan and Orion, with Metamorpho as a build a figure...

I don't think so...
I mean, it's not like he's that tall in comics, and he's still taller than Iron Man.

Emma Frost is by far the worst one in the entire line...

he's like 6' 2", is he taller than iron man?

she's ugly, one of the people on fwooshnet made this one, and to me it looks far better...

I am not really into the series anymore. I collected a few when it started and for a little while but hasbro has gone the cheap route with the figures.
They also seem to be going the commercial route which wasn't the intention of the creators of the original line. Stuff like x3 Beast , Phoenix, and Juggnernaut, and the new wolverine are all about the quick buck now.

Yup.
I'd like a Marvel one though as well.
And a Wog.

I don't know...
All I know, is that the Mattel version (Superman) is bigger than the Toybiz one (Ironman).

Any custom Emma looks better than the one they shit out...

But yes, that one is good.
