omg! why would you say that? you know when i first saw it... when it first came out on DVD/VIDEO!!! so don't tell me that i have the intelegence of a two year old! because i was a lot younger back then! so f.uck you!
You getting so easily agitated over a comment on the Internet is proof enough of your intellect.
And it's probably because you where younger that you couldn't understand the story ergo my comment about your intellegence though perhaps exagerated isn't too far from the truth.
ok... I'm yelling at you because you're totally dissing me and one of my favorite movies and are also insisting on doing it again. Oh! and btw I'm in an advanced math class, english class, and I have good grades in those, sience, and history. ok? SO I don't have the intelect of a 2 year old. and i thaught this was supposed to be about Miyazaki Films... not an argument. alright!?
Okay your posting something on the internet about your grades and I'm just suppose to believe it. Tsk Tsk. And I never insulted the movie, I simply thought that the story could've been better done. It was a basically a coming of age film, which featured a very fantastic enviroment, but over all isn't too complicated.
Girl and parent walk through tunnel
Tunnel Leads to magic land that changes parents to pigs
Girl meets boy and tries to save parents
Girl starts to work and matures in the process
Evil Witch over works girl, but girl perceviers
Boy is really a dragon who forgot his name
Girl helps boy remember name and save parents
Meets the Good witch who helps her
Finds the boys name (is a forgotten river which dried up)
And Saves parents the end
Not so complicated.

Miyazaki didn't have any involvement with Grave of the Fireflies. It is, however, an utterly fantastic movie. The same for The Cat Returns, as Miyazaki was only the executive prducer, and had different artists and director. My favorite film by Miyazaki is Princess Mononoke by far. The fantasy realm, plus some added violence, and blood, went together quite nicely with the wonderful story and emotional plot.

yeah the grave of the fireflies is probably one of his most realistic films since it's based on world war 2. but it's REALLY SAD! and the cat returns is a bit weird but very sweet. did you know that that film came from another realistically sweet film called whisper of the heart.
yeah but not officially... they know they like eachother but they're havn't really sated it. And i just remembered that in whisper of the heart they get together in the end... but its a bit silly who he does it... he's asks if they could get married but they're in highschool as freshmans... and then he runs up and hugs her and then it's over! See totally ridiculous...

well, if you know that they like eachother, then basically the anime has stated it. and actually, in Princess Mononoke the two main characters hook up as well
