No, not Ninjas. Hiding in the shadows then coming out and stabbing someone would be completely intolarable by their society. And Elite would be branded as a coward and exiled for doing that among their ranks... They wield energy swords, hand held shields, and valor...

Cloaking devices because they move up to enemy fortifications on foot, then drop the cloak to charge the last length toward their enemies...
It's not ninja training, Elijah compared them more to Samurais. They're basically Elites with a code a lot like Sparta of Greece, the counters to Spartans in the UNSC.
