Actually nothing of what I or he did was gay. The word Gay is not suitable in any way to this sentence, unless you are very happy about the choice which you appear not to be. Gay in an Academical sense;

- Having a sexual orientation to persons of the same sex.
- Showing or characterized by cheerfulness and lighthearted excitement; merry.
- Bright or lively, especially in color: a gay, sunny room.
- Given to social pleasures.
- Dissolute; licentious.

It is clearly visible that you using the word 'Gay' in that sentence makes no sense at all hug
