Lying
Depends on to whom you are lying and your reason for doing so.
Re: Right or Wrong?
Abortion : people should learn to be careful when having sex. if people took precautions and still go pregnant, then its fair for the woman to have an abortion if she wants. think things through first though.
Death Penalty: wrong. killing people with electric chairs and firing squads because, presumably, they say life is sacred and anyone who takes life should be murdered. errm.
Rape: obviously wrong
Murder: wrong,, although in some extreme circumstances, you can understand why people have murdered.
Incest: wrong
Child Molestation: wrong!
Cheating on a spouse or boyfrind/girlfriend: if you are not happy with partner, tell them the situation, and break up. then move on. cheating is not very nice for the other person.
Homosexuality : it is an experience, that’s all it is, a way of expressing
love for another human being. people should respect that.(no im not gay)
Stealing: wrong in some cases. depends on the nature of the situation
Lying : right and wrong. depend on the lie.
Re: Right or Wrong?
Abortion- Wrong
Death Penalty- Good
Rape- Wrong
Murder- Depends
Incest- Wrong
Child Molestation- Oh hell no!
Cheating on a spouse or boyfrind/girlfriend- Depends...
Homosexuality- Questionable...
Stealing- Sometimes
Lying- "Noboby can survive in the adult world if they just stick to the truth!"
-Jim Carrey as Fletcher Reed in Liar Liar
Re: Right or Wrong?
Abortion - Wrong, except in rape or incest cases. Where the child may be viewed negatively due to the connection with the father, as well as forcing contact between victim and aggressor.
Death Penalty - Wrong, delayed response causes the punishment to be too severe. Also, this forces someone to kill unnecessarily.
Rape - Wrong, denies a person his/her agency in the situation.
Murder - Wrong
Incest - Wrong, because it disgusts me. Although two consenting adults should be ok by law if any other interaction considered such can be accepted.
Child Molestation - Wrong, once again this disgusts me, also children are unable to fully comprehend the consequences of their actions, and thus cannot give proper consent
Cheating on a spouse or boyfriend/girlfriend - Spouse, wrong. Marriage is a contract of monogamy or at least mutual agreement as to sexual relations, any act that is not consented to by both parties is wrong. Boyfriend/Girlfriend, not wrong. This is why marriage exists, if you aren't married there is no contract, all the same doesn't stop the other from being pissed off at you.
Homosexuality - Wrong, due to the fact that it disgusts me, also religious issues. Although legally I would say that there is no reason it should be wrong.
Stealing - Wrong.
Lying - Wrong.
I don't think these things have a black or white answer, none of them are always either right or wrong, you have to look at all aspects. So instead of right or wrong, I'm choosing to use acceptable or unacceptable.
Abortion- Acceptable, I'm all for choice, even this kind, I personally don't think I'd ever have an abortion but no one has the right to choose for someone else, and I don't believe that life begins at conception personally.
Death Penalty- Acceptable
Rape- Unacceptable
Murder-Unacceptable. Self defense isn't murder in case anyone brings that up, it's manslaughter if anything at all.
*edit, actually this one's really tricky, I'm unsure of my answer...hmm
Incest- Acceptable
Child Molestation- Unacceptable
Cheating on a spouse or boyfriend/girlfriend- Acceptable
Homosexuality- Acceptable, even religiously, homosexuality is acceptable, the sexual acts apparently are not, but I feel that it's no one's place in a couple's bedroom.
Stealing- Acceptable
Lying- Acceptable
I also find it interesting how people are claiming that things such as abortion are completely unacceptable, but the death penalty is.

Re: Right or Wrong?
Abortion - Since there is no actual wrong committed in the normal type of abortion, and there are reasons for it (starting with choice) I would say it is right.
Death Penalty - I dislike the death penalty, but I understand the arguments and benefits for it. However the element of doubt stops me saying it is either right or wrong, and I most probably wouldn't vote for it to be returned to the Australia legal system.
Rape - Wrong.
Murder - Wrong. I do not know of any situation where murder is right, remembering that there is a difference between murder and killing in self defense.
Incest - There are some valid reasons why incest is not right, and I am inclined to agree with them. Still, if it behind closed doors, and between consenting adults I wouldn't crucify any one.
Child Molestation - Wrong.
Cheating on a spouse or boyfrind/girlfriend - Wrong. Betrayal of trust for something like sex is never right in my view.
Homosexuality - The is nothing wrong about it, so I would say right.
Stealing - While theft in general I would say is wrong, there are none the less mitigating circumstances where it can be forgiven, if not forgotten.
Lying - depends. There can be values for a lie in the correct circumstances, but generally I would say a person who lies only for their own benefit is wrong, while a lie to save someones feelings, while unfortunate a lie be needed, can be understood.

There was, in the abortion thread, a poster who virtually said "from the moment of conception it is human. I support the death sentance as they are no longer human."
Tis a crazy world for some people it seems.
Re: Right or Wrong?
Abortion - Right
Death Penalty - Right
Rape - Wrong, obviously
Murder - Right in some cases
Incest - Wrong
Child Molestation - Wrong
Cheating on a spouse or boyfrind/girlfriend - It happens
Homosexuality - As long as they dont flaunt their gayness around me and keep it within the gay community
Stealing - Wrong
