I honestly think I can settle and find a job around 50 or 60k in a few years, which would be plenty for me. My mom and dad made less than that. srug

Don't let the haters get you down. If you find a job where you'll make like $30 to $40 grand a year, and do freelance, you'll have money. Plus California is great for prospects in GD.
