Transformers 20th Anniversary Edition DVD

It seems that Transformers: The Movie is getting a 20th anniversary edition DVD chocked full of extras that is due come November 7th. The DVD package will include:
-Full Screen and Widescreen editions
-commentaries
-deleted scenes
-interviews
-featurettes
-PLUS a sneak peek look at the upcoming Transformers movie due next year.

So, I ask you, friends: As much as I love this movie, and the legacy that is the Transformers, is this DVD nothing more than a marketing ploy for an upcoming release? Or, in your opinion, is this movie genuinely deserving of an anniversary edition? IMO, I say it's deserving because of it's legacy and not some upcoming film by that whore Michael Bay.

The old Rhino release has been OOP for a couple of years, and this was announced a couple of months ago, over a full YEAR until the live action Transformers is set to be released, so I don't see any correlation.

Sighs I remember when i first watched that film at the cinema prob befor most of u wer born 😮

infat im thinking of whacking the dvd on 2night

I saw it in the theatres when it debuted as well. Stands to reason, Rudini there is a mere 20 days older than I am. 😉

I can remember going to see anothe transformers inspired cartoon movie around that sort of time to it had transformers in it which turned to rocks and pebbles but cant rem the name of it.
