Modt vs Titannus,Terminus & Mangog

I think this is a good fight

If Modt was completely invincible, then there would be no need for another guardian after him. Modt is certainly powerful, but he's only had a handful of appearances, and it was against the X-Men and Imperial Guard. And even then, I believe Cyclops managed to knock him down.

And to say that Modt is anywhere near Galactus' power is ridiculous since he's never taken on anyone with close to that kind of power.

So, until I feats from him, I'm giving this one to the team.

Gladiator once Ripped a STAR in half.....

Modt: (stated by Marvel) Infinatley Strong, Is infinatley resilient to physical damage, and can grow infinatley large....

What do you people not understand??

And btw there is no guardian AFTER modt,....Jahl is the first guardian, Modt is the second, (if they get through Jahl, they fight Modt)....

And cyclops did not knock him down, his blasts did nothing to him.

There is If he gets stoped

History: Modt's origins are unknown.

(Uncanny X-Men#203 (fb) - BTS) - Modt and Jahf spent untold aeons keeping the M'Kraan Crystal untouched and inviolate.

(X-Men I#108) - When the M'Kraan Crystal's nine Deathstars came into alignment and the M'Kraan Crystal opened up to the outside world, Jahf appeared to prevent anyone from entering it, but was eventually incapacitated by a sonic blast from Banshee. Modt then appeared, announcing himself to be the second guardian and describing his power and the progressively more powerful warriors who would appear to stop the X-Men and Starjammers. Reality blinked out a second time as Modt appeared. Raza attempted to stop D'Ken's plot to control the Crystal by hurling him against the Crystal, but his body passed through it, and D'Ken, the X-Men, and the Starjammers were all transported within the Crystal, bypassing Modt.

(What If II#23 (fb) - BTS) - As similar events occurred in the alternate reality of Earth-913, Jahf was apparently defeated by the Starjammers or the Shi'ar Imperial Guard, as Modt was seen to be battling the Imperial Guard when the X-Men arrived. These X-Men also bypassed Modt and entered the M'Kraan Crystal when the Beast unwittingly hurled one of D'Ken's aides into the Crystal.

(X-Man#53-54 - BTS) - Modt and Jahf sensed unsettling vibrations in the M'Kraan Crystal caused by a portal that opened to Earth-295, through which some Infinites had passed. Nate Grey, with the help of Cyclops and Phoenix (Jean Grey) closed the portal.

(X-Man#54 - BTS) - Modt and Jahf--with the Crystal's leave--traveled to Earth-616 to investigate and deal with as they saw fit the sole remaining trace of Earth-295 energy: Nate Grey. To test his abilities they disguised themselves as a father and son injured by a falling tree, and the father (Modt) tried to convince Nate to use his powers to heal "Jeff" (Jahf). Nate refused to tamper with reality, but when he was able to see through their illusions, Jahf decided that he was too dangerous to live. Cyclops, Phoenix, and Nate battled the powerful M'Kraan guardians, and Cyclops even succeeded from knocking Modt's feet out from under him. Ultimately Modt agreed that while Nate's power was a danger, he had demonstrated good judgment and self-control, and that he did not have to be destroyed. Modt forcibly restrained Jahf and took him back to the M'Kraan Crystal.

(Uncanny X-Men#203) - Jahf was present--though unable to do anything about it--when Phoenix (Rachel Summers) transported the X-Men into the M'Kraan Crystal in an abortive attempt to destroy the universe in order to stop the Beyonder.

(Uncanny X-Men#320 - BTS) - Following Legion's journey into the past in an effort to kill Magneto, Jahf appeared on Chandilar, easily overpowering the mighty Gladiator and confronting Lilandra. He told her that the End of All That Is was approaching and that he may soon no longer guard the M'Kraan Crystal.
Bishop, Iceman, Psylocke, and Storm managed to latch onto Legion's energies and follow him into the past.

(X-Men II#41 - BTS) - In trying to kill Magneto, Legion accidentally killed Xavier. This created a new reality, Earth-295, the Age of Apocalypse, in which Apocalypse gained ascendance without Xavier or his followers to slow his path.
The Earth-616 reality was washed over completely by the crystallization wave.

(Gambit and the X-Ternals#3) - In the Earth-295 reality, Deathbird, Lila Cheney, and Gambit entered the M'Kraan Crystal, where they encountered Jahf who led them to the Sphere. Both Lila and D'Ken were held transfixed by red light emitted by the Sphere, and as Deathbird attempted to kill D'Ken, she was transfixed as well. Jahf told Gambit how the damage to the Earth-616 reality would soon cause realities around it to collapse, one after the other: The End of All There Is. Jahf told him that by taking a shard of the Crystal and using it to send Bishop back in time to stop Legion from killing Xavier, he could save reality. Jahf further told him that in order to take a part of the Crystal, Gambit would have to leave a part of himself.
As the World was awash with crystallization waves, the other X-Ternals entered the Crystal as well to escape its effects, and Gambit offered his love of Rogue to the Crystal. He struck the Sphere, which granted him a shard of the Crystal while at the same time elatedly singing a song of freedom as it liberated itself from D'Ken's fusion-energy absorption system.

(X-Men: Omega - BTS) - On Earth-295, via the M'Kraan shard Destiny located Earth-616, Illyana opened a portal into it, and Bishop stopped Legion from killing Xavier, reversing the damage done to Earth-616 and ending the threat from the M'Kraan Crystal. The Sugar Man, Dark Beast, Nate Grey, and Holocaust were also transported to Earth-616 via the M'Kraan Crystal.

(X-Man Annual 1997) - A hologram of Jahf appeared in Lilandra's bedchambers, informing her of energy being drained from the M'Kraan Crystal to Earth. He described this as blasphemous to their faith, and he was satisfied when she took steps to put a stop to this. The sources of the energy drains proved to be the four natives of Earth-295 dwelling on Earth-616, and the connections to the M'Kraan Crystal were severed
X-Man#53-54 - BTS) - Modt and Jahf sensed unsettling vibrations in the M'Kraan Crystal caused by a portal that opened to Earth-295, through which some Infinites had passed. Nate Grey, with the help of Cyclops and Phoenix (Jean Grey) closed the portal.

(X-Man#54 - BTS) - Modt and Jahf--with the Crystal's leave--traveled to Earth-616 to investigate the sole remaining trace of Earth-295 energy: Nate Grey. Modt forcibly restrained Jahf and took him back to the M'Kraan Crystal.

Marvel also said that that Gladiator's limit of strength is unknown and that Galactus' can augment his strength beyond "any known system of measure."

Per Modt's own words, "and should I fall, you will face a guardian whose power is a thousand times mine." Can't argue against that.

Like Golem posted, in X-Man, Cyclops did knock him down.

But It also said that Phoenix X-Man and Cyclops fought Modt 😱

Okay but this doesnt change the fact that Modt is still untouchable....I dont see how you could ever hurt/kill him, or best his Infinate strength...Galactus has been beaten, so he is clearly not unbeatable. Also, Pheonix is amazingly powerful, she could fight modt for a while no doubt, as she wouldnt have to get near him physically, same goes for Nate, he is said to be up to par with Pheonix's power....

Anyways, Im not gonn defend modt anymore, its just been said he cant be beaten, deal with it..

Because after a certain point, infinite physical strength is useless. Hell, Dr. Strange has defeated beings with thousands of times more strength that him.

As far as Galactus being beaten and not Modt, other cosmics above Galactus have been beaten as well, even Eternity. I really doubt he is going to be below Modt.

"Marvel also said that that Gladiator's limit of strength is unknown and that Galactus' can augment his strength beyond "any known system of measure."

Are you inmplying those statements are false? 😕

Not at all. I'm just saying that bios normally aren't a good respentation of what a character can do. On panel is always better. Gladiator has an unknown limit of strenght, yet he's been beaten down several times various people.

In the case of Modt, it may claim his strength is infinite, but he's only fought the Imperial Guard and X-Men. That alone doesn't mean he can't be beaten by a cosmic being.

If Mod't is ever defeated,I wonder who the next guardian is?
