I think these people will have a hard time looking for clues, I don't think it;s the best time to have kids around, but I have to go to the Gold Saucer, would you two want to come?

Alex smiled and nodded gratefully. "Of course! What about you, Crone?" Of course, Alex didn't need and answer. He waited on Rufus to lead the way.

"yer that would be totally sweet cheers Rufus!" he walked over to Alex and whispered "he aint so bad why does everyone hate him?"

Rufus looked to Cloud, "Cloud, i am taking these young men with me to the Gold Saucer, I leave you to your...explorations...and investigations..." Rufus then turned on his heel and the two kids followed him to a small sandcraweler parked next to a villa

cloud watched them leave and disappear.... yuffie sighed " finally i don't know whats worse rufus or those brats....."

Rufus turned to Crone, "So" he said, "Enjoying your stay with the party from hell?" he said as he nodded towards Cloud and Yuffie

"not really" Crone said in annoyance "they treat us like idiotic babies!" he laughed

"It's because they all think they have had the worst lives, each of them has some silly major problem...but really, they're problems are minute...most have gained more than they have lost..."

Alex nodded as he sat in the Crawler. "Yeah... I mean, they act so serious and can't have fun every once in awhile." Alex sighed and looked out of the window.

Rufus got in and sat at the wheel as Crone and Alex got comfortable...*Hmm,* thought Rufus, * I've seen Tseng do this loads of times, and they practically drive themselves...* He turned the ignition and pulled the car out of the parking space he then mangaged to steer it out of the village and out into the open, "Gold Saucer here we come," he said..

Crone lent over to Alex and whispered "do u think he knows how we can get home?" he asked softly

"Oh and Rufus cheers for taking us here!" he said happily "I've only ever heard stories!" he sat and smilied

"Maybe..." Alex whispered back, and turned to Rufus.

"Hey... Ever hear of a place called Balam, Rufus?" Alex asked, hoping he would.

Rufus' foot hit the breaks and the two kids lurched foward...Rufus half turned his head..."Balam...Balam Garden?"

Alex nodded slowly after recovering from the lurch.

"Yeah! Yeah, you know of it?!"

Rufus looked slightly confused, "Yes, There are records of it in the ShinRa archives...but, don't you know, the Balam Garden theory has never been proven...you do know what that is?"

"'Balam Garden Theory'? No... Never heard of it, what is it?" Alex questioned, wondering what he was talking about.

Rufus was now looking a little calmer, "According to Professor Gast around 63 Million Years ago there was supposedly an advanced civilisation populating the planet, it had always been presumed that these where the Cetra, ancient peoples, but around 50 years ago an archaeological team searching for mako pockets discovered the remains of an ancient structure...after a series of searches it was found that the building was a school for soldiers...I know little more than that but the building was at least 50 million years old and contained proof that there where ancients, Midgar was later built around this ancient structure, and even ShinRa Uniform was based on military uniforms found in the building...but, I don't think you would be able to find it now, what with the meteor...where you born in Midgar?

Alex shook his head. "I was born in The Garden. Born n' raised." He nodded slowly. He was young, and he didn't really understand what he was saying.

Rufus looked at him then shook his head, he said, "Your 13,14? To have been born and raised in the Balam Centre you would be mako by now...unless you where staying in ShinRa Property illegally...." Rufus chuckled and turned to the wheel and re started the car "It makes no difference now, Midgar, Balam both destroyed...totally gone...Junon is my home now, it might have to be you two''s aswell..." Rufus continued to drive the crawler but his mind was buzzing, Could these people be from Balam? No one could have been raised as a child in that building...What was going on?

"No... It wasn't illegal. I remember it perfectly. It was bustling with life when I lived there! It's only been about half a year since then... Why? I mean... Of course I could live there! Do you know where it is? I rmeember my exact room." Akex nodded, loving the idea of seeing home again. But first, he wanted to help that Yuffie girl.
