The Forsaken
Sitting back up, Elie rubbed her temples while looking around dazed. Something had hit her, and it had knocked her out. Obviously this wasn’t a dream. You weren’t supposed to black out in a dream. Technically, it was impossible to snap out of rapid eye movement that fast and even if you did, you weren’t supposed to wake up in the very dream you lost consciousness in.
“No, no, no, no, no,” she closed her eyes and pinched herself. Okay, so that hurt. This wasn’t a dream but then, she’d already figured that out. Getting up and walking back to the wall, Elie vaguely acknowledged the appearance of another boy as well as the fuzzy blue ball of fur that had hit her (not to meantion she had kicked earlier). Touching the seemingly solid material of the barricade, the tomboy could feel it give a little under her fingers, and where they pressed she could see a pattern of symbols flowing. Pulling her hand back, the script disappeared and reformed in solid silver.
Pressing harder this time, yet not so hard as to break through, Elie watch the flow of the text and muttered to herself. After a couple of seconds, she lowered her hand.
“Binary code.” Her voice was almost a whisper, but it echoed through the chamber.
