It's in continuity, it just takes place prior to the events of Civil War. Look at the New Avengers books for example. Issue #21, 22, 23, and 24 all take place at about the same time, just covering events at different locations.

maybe it is continuity an the conclusion of the arc explains why iron man is really all qunq ho about the ra. It may also explain why the sentry will be on cap america's team. Jusy a hypothesis a qander a wild stab in the dark.

Outside of the fight with Genis, he still doesn't have a feat worthy of his tacked on status.
