It was the other way around. Supes was weakened by the red sun radiation or what ever it was. Some people say he had gotten some sort of virus or something before the events in his own comic and it had affected the the fight.

i still think the white guy's gonna beat the native dude, like he's done so many times 🙁 . Thunder for the win.

well I'd like to see what venom's capible of in this new BEYOND series... thus far the new venom while A LOT stronger than classic venom, is still a puss when it comes to sticking around for a fight.. since the alien doesn't have a strong bond to the host and the host doesn't have as much determination and hatred for spiderman as brock used to have.. the symbiote seems to easily be pushed away from the host in times of stress... hell spidey beat the symbiote off angelo with his bare fists...

if this were eddie in the new venom suit... a version of venom which lasted for all of 3 panals in all his "the size of a small house" glory... then he would curb warpath... well maybe not.. but it would be a good fight... all other versions after brock lose... regardless of upgrades.

How do you know the new Venom will be stronger than the classic one?

Before the upgrade Venom was beating Carnage pretty often and he held his own against very strong characters like Juggernaut, Ironman, Thing and Hulk. Now he is twice stronger than he used to be. And the only thing that is effective against him - sonics. So he could win this.

Umm, what does that prove anyways? And I tought you were talking about the new Venom character, not the symbiote. Besides, the symbiote isn't that new either. Last time we saw Eddie Venom he was selling the symbiote. Just before that, in another storyline The symbiote permanently combined with Brock (He had cancer at the time, in the storyline they reveal that Eddie had cancer before finding the symbiote and the symbiote was attracted to cancer patients.) It seems that the writers of the Scorpio-venom storyline have ignored these few story twists.

I dont know where you guys get your info from but their is nothing that states that. People need to stop making sh*t up.

I don't like your attitude. I read the information somewhere here. I don't remember if anyone provided any evidences but it sounded reasonable. Please, tell me you're not thinking Venom could take Super-man normally..? You can't be that ignorant.

Yet it's only talk talk talk. It's not a feat or anything. I'm not sure where you got this "twice the strength" thing. Venom hasn't shown anything new after those events. It seems this merger was ignored by the writers.
Man I hope Venom would go back to the roots. Eddie Brock would be cured from the cancer and he'd got the symbiote back from that Scorpion loser.

Well, twice because clone was almost as strong as original and then they became one...
He hadn't any chances to show his strength because he sold symbiote soon after that.
And I agree with "scorpion loser" part.

scorpion venom was a good idea, but it ended up sucking.

But... How do we know it's twi-... I give up. Ah it's pointless to argue this. Venom had 50 ton feats even before he got the "second" symbiote.. Besides. I've read the storyline. IMO, it kinda sucked.

I enjoyed the turn around especially since there are many opponents who Job to Superman. CA, GL Kyle, Flash, GL HAl, MM should all be stronger than Superman yet they are written to job far to often. Superman does it once and no one can accept it. Whatever helps you sleep at night. Venom beating Superman is no different than Superman beating Darkseid.

Difference between Darkseid Jobbing to Superman and Super-man jobbing to Venom is that Venom is TOTALLY out of his league. I understand why people job to him because he's the good guy. In the end he has to win. Besides Darkseid jobs to everyone 😛
