Venom vs Super-man

Does anyone remember this fight in the Marvel vs DC All Access series? The book was OK-ish, but how the hell is Venom able to nearly defeat Spider-man and Super-man at the same time? Did Super-man get powered down for just this fight or was there something global that affected his own comics too? Was it just bad writing? Was Venom powered up? Does someone remember if there was any explanation for this ridiculous event?

I remember reading something about Red sun radiation affecting his condition and powers, but I never saw any evidences. Someone also mentioned something about some sort of virus affecting him in a previous Super-man issue. Help me out.

Supes was weakened in that world, they did something to him!

They made him sign the Marvel contract. Wich means he played by theyr rules.

Super-man is a little over-rated.

Considering this from the same series that had Cannonball and Bishop stomping Martian manhunter and Aquaman in a physical battle I'll go with poor writing. It was freakishly Marvel biased. Well except for Batman. He was like god for some reason.

So.. There wasn't any explanation? Where are these people then pulling these explanations from? Let me guess... *sigh*

I wonder if the writers had actually read a Super-man comic in their entire lives. Besides, I was so sure there was some kind of explanation, but apparently not. Well, I'm not losing any sleep over it (Sniif)

How so? He's probably the most DC-ish character there is. You know, him being the best detective and all and "DC" standing for DETECTIVE Comics.

well from recent news that i've read superman could be snapped up by marvel if all goes wrong... would that be a bad thing though? other than he wont have lois, wonderwoman among others to have kids with angel_not

but it did seem to go all wrong with superman and spiderman both gettings owned so easily, although superman did drive venom through a wall quite easily but that was about it think? but spiderman was acting so rubbish and not doing anything useful, like it wasn't him, damn writer cocked alot up compared to their real characteristics
