I don't think that thee is any current, major problem, with comic book scans, in terms of affecting the market. You can buy blank CD's and burn a disc. They have CD label makers and cover makers. The same process works for DVD's. You can take it off your computer, with realtively the same standard of quality, and utilize it in the typical presentatoin (such as in a CD player or on at television). Comic books are a paper medium. Glossy paper is costly, and most printers don't do double sided printing. Color ink, is even more expensive, and comic books are heavy with the use of tones and color. I've never seen anybody selling a bootleg comic book before. But, it is still a problem on a legal basis. I did have fun reading that article though. I haven't used mIRC in almost five years. I still remember my old Apple II E, which had only two floppy drives (5 inch and 3 and a half inch). I feel so old, when I think about things like that. Kids today won't understand that I used to wait 15minutes to 40 minutes, for a 2 minute song to download. They all have DSL now. They won't know about hand scanners or single button joysticks. I'm only 23...but hot damn. Times change.

I still use mIRC but very little. WHile I never used the 5 inch floppy, I still find the 3.5 version useful, just for some debugging or restores, yes I still use MS DOS. !5 minutes or way longer for a freaking song was a pain in the ass. Thank god for broadband, now is probably 15 seconds 😄. Times have changed my friend, soon there wont be need for CDs as I believe DVDs will replace them soon altogether. Hell I just look at a flyer for a loca computer store and they are selling a 1GB memory stick for $20. Imagine how advanced that stick wouldve seem back in 1990!
