Hmm, don't you think a good martial artists (Or someone with a very powerful and fast) kick would be able to attack the Bear's throat? I mean, it's the only "lethal" place I can think of. Their skulls are just too damm thick to be beat to death.
When compared to a bear, a human is too damm easy to kill. Our bones are very fragile, you can easily break someone's skull by just punching at them. One punch to the throat and you'll without medical care.
And it's unbeliveable how strong punches and kicks some martial artists can generate.
Originally posted by JyppeEven a punch or kick to the throat will not do it, the muscles around a Kodiak throat are to thick, the best chance would be like an Iron Hand strike between the muscle fibers and even then it would only be accessible if they are standing up then they are about 8 to 10 feet tall, plus the person would have to have a great deal of knowledge of the bears anatomy to be able to hit in the right spot and that still wouldn’t kill it.

I remember looking at some Bear anatomy map and there were clearly 2 spots in their throats you could harm. If you got lucky you could get a nice kick in disturbing the Bear's breathing capacity. If you were really lucky you could disable their breathing. Only problems are that the bear would have to be standing, you'd have to hit the right spot, and if you hit the wrong spot you could kiss your leg/life good bye.
Wasn't there a story that someone was attacked by a bear, but got hit in to the Bear's throat and the bear had fallen unconcious because it couldn't breathe properly?
A single man could take down a grizzly bear - if it came between him and the finest salmon:
Considering how it takes 7 bullets to kill a grown male grizzly bear I would say it is near impossible for one man to kill one unarmed in any way apart from Martial arts etc. Even if that man IS Chuck Norris. I'm sorry but even though I am a fan of his he could not take a grizzly bear and none of those 'facts' about him on that chucknorrisfacts website are true which I think Chuck Norris himself concurred.
A man could take a cougar or a leopard - a very powerful martial arts master could even take a tiger [I heard a story of a martial artist prisoner who was put against a tiger and screeched in its ear and broke its neck] but I doubt a grizzly bear. A grizzly bear once killed 2 male tigers I heard in a news report. Grizzly bears are among the most powerful mammals there are.
6 men though ...hmmm....Maybe...if they were all on Jet Li's level and had godlike reflexes and extemely advanced breaking techniques maybe.
