I don't think anyone was particularly anti-social. They all answered your question, admittedly most people don't use it but what did you expect? You asked an open-ended question.
If it's primarily for those in higher education then you may find the majority of people here won't be using it. Most people haven't reached higher education yet and there are a lot of people here who just don't have any, like me.

Well, that's a little illogical. How could you possibly know if you were going to like most of the people you're at college with unless you already know them all?
