Luke and Leia

How old are Luke and Leia suppose to be at the start of ANH. I've heard 18 and also 20. In ROTJ, Luke looks about 30 when he's supposed to be 22 or 24. What's the deal?

They were eighteen...and actually, I think they WERE eighteen or nineteen, the actors, at ANH. Carrie Fisher never struck me as being 18 in ANH, though.

Bare in mind, in terms of Lukes looks as they are related to his (car) wampa incident and Bacta fluid can't fix everything...

Besides which maybe he's just one of these people who doesn't age well. Anyway I dont like being described as a stupid boy, that is not very professional master.

Thanks for clearing that up. However, I guess GL could make them as old or young as he wants based on when Epi. III takes place.

Yes, the timing of Epiosde III is a bit of an issue, actually, because the old chronology was based on Obi-Wan being in his thirties in TPM.

Also, the old chronology said that Vader was only 5 years younger than OB1. However, in TPM, OB1 was about 25 while Anakin was 9. Oh well...

As has been made clear numerous numbers of time, GL the master that he is may have a vision but according to being able to make a film and according to make it in a form that he sees right, his vision alters as he goes along, which unfortunately for authors ,means that he discredits or at least removes continuity factors from their scripture.

Yes they were 18 at the beginning of ANH and nearing 23 at the end of ROTJ. Mark Hamill was 24 when they filmed ANH so yes he was thirty when they did ROTJ.
