It's still money. Money is valuable to the US economy so.. I don't think It's useless. How else would we pay for things Priced 3.99, and get our change back?

Again you make a point. I watch people all the time though take the penny drop it on the ground or toss it into the trash or something of that nature...so why does the U.S. need it if people aren't using it to begin with?

Its not valuable to us, we can only buy a 1 penny sweet with it so why keep it all when the most people will except in 1's is 20 barely.
