While the Mooseys are generally an OTF based award, we try, and I stress try to include more than just the OTF in the voting process. I have enlisted the help of 6 panel members who have compiled lists of members whom they feel are deserving of awards, in various categories.

The panel consists of:

Lana
Mist
~Da Rev~
Vinny Valentine
Syren
and LethalFemme

This year, there are 13 different awards.

Each day, 2 to 3 different awards will be listed, for the membership to vote on. There will be a one week limit on voting, at which time, the award winners will be handed their 'statues'.

I did those stupid Moosey awards in the summer, but now...I dunno, it all seems so trivial and boring. I mean, Cine has very valid points...it's all about whom you know, and quite honestly, half of the people who voted, I don't even KNOW. I know a finite amount of people, so essentially, it comes down to a popularity contest with people voting for who they know...it's not based on any serious criteria. If there were KMC sanctioned polls, where the admin set forth guidlines and rules, whereby EVERYONE got a chance to read EVERYONE'S posts (which is impossible) then these things are just pointless.
