Why do people keep calling it "New Foundland"? It's "Newfoundland". "New Foundland" sounds like it was name after "Foundland".

Actually, we originated from Old Foundland, which, at one time, was known as "Heikerville" in old German. Everyone from there went on to a career in TV camera work.
