House On Haunted Hill, the original...

The 1959 film directed by William Castle happens to be my favorite horror film of all time. The sheer element of surprise is worth taking a look. In my opinion, one of Vincent Price's best work. Price played the unusual inviter to the mansion. Best scene hands down, goes to the old woman on a skateboard, look and see.

yeah I saw that movie it is totally different from the newer one. any movie Vincent price was in was good.

i liked the original alot. been a while since i last saw it though

The remake was awful, even by remake standards. The original is fantastic, and rests proudly on my DVD rack.

^ Too True..

i remember buying the dvd for 1.50.bargain😛

I'm not too keen on either, but would rather watch the remake again over the original. Something put me off the original when I saw it years ago but can't remember what it was lol.

What might that be? I'm curious now.

I think it was about when a group of people were invited by some guy to spend the night or 24 hours inside the house and the winner would receive $1 million if they survived. I think the guy wanted it to be a joke for them but it turned out the house was really haunted and only two people came out alive.

There was no need to explain the plot...

i want to see it, but im really not a fan of black and white movies, or movies with bad effects for that matter. That's why I usually don't watch the original unless it sounds amazing or it's in the used dvd bin at my local movie purchasing area. Idk though, maybe i'll check this one out.
