Venice Beach High School

Matt was pissed. He had heard some of the players talking about the "game tonight", and it hit him. That's why they got out of class to come to practice, their first game of the season, against their arch-rivals, the Long Beach High School Cougars. He was determined to play, sprained ankle or not. He didn't care what his mom would say. She thought Matt would be on the bench, cheering on the team, but she could do nothing once he was actually on the field. It was his coach he would have to convince. He asked to stay for the JV practice after school to talk with the coach, who would be getting ready for the game.

(Umi and Jacope are in the school library, Matt is at soccer practice.)

Shinji walked into the Library and started talking to his friends until he seen Umi. He glared at her and grabbed a book and went in the corner of the Library. He continued talking to his friends and flipping thru pages of the book.

Jacope: i guess its ok umi......i just wonder alot about you ya know.....

::Jacope was more shocked to see Shinji in the library::

Umi looked at Shinji and frowned. Umi looked back at Jacope. "Oh,"Umi said. "I'm going to apologize to Shinji,"Umi said. Umi walked over to Shinji.

Jacope: oh nothing just the light.....yea the light....

"I'm sorry Shinji,"Umi said looking at Shinji. Umi felt bad.

Camille came in to the libray,she seen the to...."hi Umi ...hi Shinji ...whats going on??"she sead softly giveing both a friendly smile she had placed her skatebord into her bag waiting for one of them to reply.

Umi looked at Camille and smiled then looked back at Shinji hoping he accepts her sorry.

Lance sat in a corner reading a book. "........" he didn't feel like talking but he would if some one said something first. "hmmmm......interesting." his book was about ocelots. he liked the ocelot for some reason. he could never figure why so he didn't bother thinkin' about it.

Umi spotted Lance. She really wanted to talk to him but was waiting for Shinji. "I'm really am sorry,"Umi said still looking at him.

Matt walked into the library. Even though he hadn't passed or shot, the running had tired him out, and he planted himself in a chair near the corner where Lance was sitting, "Hey Lance."

Lance looked up at Matt from over his book. "Hello Matt." he looked at his book and set it aside. "you been playin' soccer?" he knew he just asked a stupid question but he didn't care.

::Jacope was practicing with the junior varsity kids kcing it to the coach, recive the pass and kicks it very hard into the goal::

"Yeah, what's up with you?" Matt was used to people asking him questions that they knew the answer to, his mom and dad did it all the time.

Camille didn't want this to go on any long " Shinji,.......you hafe to forgive her, she missunder stood proble and ....she didn't mean to hurt...you....she is feeling realy bad for what she did....she neaver wanted to hurt you...she was conffused and didn't know what to do....please for give her Shinji"she sead softly to Shinji giveing him a friendly smile.

Umi looked at Camille and smiled. Umi just looked at Shinji.

Umi walked away and sat at a table and read a book. She got bored and put the book away then sat down with her hands crossed behind her head. She sat there intil class was over.
