No shit. And I'm really not happy with this.

The first tourney went great, with only one person forfeiting *glares at Barker*, WTF is this shit?

Makes me really seriously reconsider running another in the future.

IF YOU SIGN UP, ****ING PARTICIPATE.

And I'm stressing on the rule of "no extensions unless it's an emergency". Computer dying = emergency. Suddenly getting sick = emergency. Schoolwork = not an emergency. Ask for a longer deadline from the start. ****ing around and derailing the threads with spam instead of doing your entry = sure as hell not an emergency.

If Skeets was going on vacation, he should have said something so I could have pulled him and replaced him.

Sad, yes. But unfortunately not unexpected. The same thing happens in my forum when we try to run comic tournies. There's always a few 1st-round walkovers, regardless of how often we stress that there's supposed to be a comittment to the tournament.

But let's at least try to keep it respectful. When I see people saying "f*ck you" to anyone who forfeited or issuing idle threats, I know it's gone too far. Annoying or not, this is still simply a voluntary discussion forum. We can't condone people dropping out, but cursing them out isn't the answer either.

I am also slightly disappointed. Pittman gets bye on two consecutive rounds, Barker (I think) hasn't made an entry yet, and basicly everyone is skiving off. I was almost expecting the FFA to have less than half of the people participating.

Well, I certainly don't agree with Calvin saying anyone who didn't turn up for this shouldn't be allowed to duel.

But honestly? People knew when it was starting. They were ALL PMed several times about it. If you knew you wouldn't be able to, you should have said so so your place could have been used for someone else - and I even delayed the start a few days to allow this. NO one who decided to just blow this off said anything, and there were a couple who were actually around that just decided to not do anything. Can't blame people for being mad about this.

Barker's made his entries.

And I really don't expect everyone who can be in the FFA to participate, simply because several of them are there simply because they didn't turn up to enter the first round. I should have just left them off the FFA but decided to give them a second chance.

Then lets institute a system where you are banned from dueling if you disregard the deadlines (beyond a resonable extent).

Well, I can ban people from participating in here if they keep breaking the rules.

But really? I don't need to if people won't obey deadlines. No one will want to duel them.

There were many new duelists in this tournemant.

Actually, there really weren't.

Maybe I just wasn't paying attention.

I agree with all Lana has said. I have taken the time to put in two entries and have not had an opponent to put in one yet. EVEN THOUGH they have posted in the thread both times.

Then No-Submit equals Tournament Ban.

Hmm, this could be bad news for Barker! ✅

Lana beat Lance (then Ken) in the finals. I was in charge of the tourney, but also participated in it.

I'd also like to point out that I upset TOH in the 1st round (i.e. got kinda lucky, then got pwned in the non-tourney rematch duel a few weeks later).
