erase everything from your computer and start over?

and if that doesn't work the i'd say its time to buy a new computer

lol, i'm sorry, but i dont know what else to tell you.
do you have any virus scanners downloaded on your comp?
like norton? that one scans and it will tell you what's corrupted and i believe after that you can choose which one's you want to delete from your system

Ok go to start, hit control pannel , click on performance maintenance , and on your upper left side of the window you are going to see the words system restore click on it. Another window is going to come up. There's going to be 3 tabs on that window, point to restore my computer to an earlier time . There you can choose the date where you want your pc to be restore. Something like this happened to me and I did this and It worked. Some of your current files may be erased, so I recommend for you to save them on a disc or flash drive. If you need more help let me know.
