thank you! now i can talk to to the mexican kids in spanish! yeah, its Cali, there are TONS of mexi's at my scool. (I AM NOT RACIST)lol
You may not be a racist, but it just sounds wrong when you say mexican kids cause they may all not be MEXICAN....so i would recommend you say all the HISPANIC KIDS...that way whether they are Mexican, Guatemalan, Hondurian, Salvadorian, Puerto Rican whatever you dont offend anyone....sorry this classifying everyone as Mexicans really bothers me sorry!! Not that i have anything against mexicans its just that there are other cultures than just mexi's anyways got that of my chest....now back to my love JOHNNY, I LOVE HIM!!!

Yes, she should of had use the word Hispanic instead of Mexicans. But I personally didn't take this as an offense. She was probably unaware of the use of that word. A lot of people use that term in referral to different kind of ethnicities, specially Hispanics and Latinos. And that lack of knowledge creates problems. But it was good that you pointed it out.

Thanks! its just that that has always been a soft spot for me! I know i live in CALI too and i am aware that Mexicans are a huge portion of the population....but it just makes me sad that ppl dont see that there are other beautiful hispanic cultures out there and they deserve their individuality....or at least to get respected! So yes for future reference HISPANIC is the word to generalize all latin cultures not MEXICANS unless they are in FACT Mexican 😄
