Tis a shame-she would be his best partner (now in Smallville). However, life doesn't turn out that way; and we all know what Lois ends up being to Clark anyway. 😬
I dont understand why they made Chloe a lois lane clone. When indeed she did not exist in the Superman Mythos. However i vote Chloe as someone perfect for clark. As for clark not loving chloe, well he is a teen, he is attracte to more looks than anything else. Maybe when he matures and grows up, he will see the light. Hopefully Chloe wil be still around.

The current issue of SFX Magazine (October issue, #148) has an interview with Erica Durance where she discusses her perspective on the Clark/Lois relationship and her opinion of working with Tom Welling on Smallville.
"What I really like is that they can be brutally honest with each other" says Durance, who joined the Smallville ensemble in 2005. "I don't like the idea of them being lovey-dovey and schmaltzy. Clar love Chloe very much but not in the way which Chloe love Clark! Clark alsways show her and us that he really care about Chloe and sometimes more as just a good friend! He loves Chloe in his own way! She is the best friend he ever had and which he ever can have! Lana was his frist love and this love was too strong! Chloe is always there for him and as Chloe told Clark that his secret will never leave her lips and that she would die before she will tell anyone his secret....I think Clark felt thankful and loving! She showed Clark how spezial their friendship is and in Vessel as she kissed Clark he kissed her with an emotion! And now with Jimmy Oelson (in season 6) I think Clark is jealous! But it is too late now for Clark. Since Chloe know Clark's secret their are closer and their relationship was deeper than Clark and Lana's´because with Chloe Clark was able to be himself and he was able to be honest. With Lana he always had to lie and lie! The friendship between Chloe and Clark is more important as a relationship. I really wished that they find to eachother in season 6 after the hot kiss in season 5 but is isn't so!

^ I know what you mean and I know that sometimes smallville is a bit of an alternate reality but as you can see in the series right now they are headed in what the comics is.. clark becoming a hero, lois goes into journalism and lex becoming evil plus the break-up of clana..
