My boyfriends mom is in the OR getting a liver transplant.

And I'm really really worried, I went over to his house this moring around 8 and she got the call to come in so I was with them until 8 pm in the hospital when they took her into the OR (the 12 hours waiting was just prepping) The surgeons said it may take from 8 to 14 hours and since she is a tiny lady the liver may be to large. I'm really really nervous and I cant sleep, I love her to death.

I dont know if anyone else has known anyone that went into a big surgory like this, but i'd really like some comforting words cry.

PS... Has anyone seen brick? Cause that Laura chick looks dead on like Irene.

aww

Give her all my best. Hang in there, 😉

Thanks guys 😮

Hope she pulls through. 😊

(I assume "OR" is the Same as "ER", right?)

Thanks Barker.

ER = Emergency Room

OR = Operating Room

BTW, what exactly is wrong with her liver? Is it life threatening?

uh-hmm

wishing her a successful operation...

wish her my best

It was a little beat up from 40 years of drinking and smoking, shes 61 and quit in her early 50s. But it didnt really post a problem until a blood transfusion when she got Hep C

My dad has had several surgeries on his back, nothing this major, but it's always worrying when a loved one is under the knife. Just remember that these doctors are professionals and totally know what they're doing, she'll probably be fine.

I like the use of "probably" in your post.

I hope she's ok!

Bah, i know, its really scary, this is the third time some one close to me has been "under the knife" One died and one lived

Regardless of what happens, she couldn't be in better hands than those of surgeons and doctors.
