I mean, we have openly gay heroes in mainstream comics now. It's time to get over this taboo about a white woman with a black guy, or how about with an asian guy? Haven't seen that lately.
Marvel is doing their part with Jessica Jones marrying Luke Cage. DC needs to step up.

Gay guys don't put insane amounts of fear into people.
A conservative's daughter, bringing Tyrell Jones to her prom, scares the living hell outta alotta people.
DC has long been seen as the conservative comic brand, with somethings that they're just aren't willing to try.
It doesn't surprise me if they're the last to drop the barriers.
