is anyone gonna buy the limited eddition lord of th rings DVD'S ???

What's different about them?

I saw a commercial for them today.

Looks like they are only going to be in stores for a short time as well. We will definatly get them!

Nah I'm not gonna get them I have both editions anyway and I don't feel like giving even more money away, if I did I'd just mail it to 'em in an envelope it would be a hell of a lot easier. I dunno why but it just seems like a new ploy to line their pockets a little more.

I dont have the EE 's

It is a special features thing for me. I LOVE special features. As well as having the EE on one disk instead of switching halfway through.

We are going to wait and get them on Ebay tho.

The Extended Edition of the film will be on one disc?! 😱 Oh I so want it!! And yes I want the extra special features too! How long will they be out for? I don't have much money at the moment 🙁 Why couldn't they bring them out near Christmas?!

2 hours is enough time. Think of it as break time to get a refill on whatever and go to the bathroom before continuing with the movie.

Even peter jackson said you should watch it 2 hours at a time

You are talking to the woman who waited in line for 8 hours for Trilogy Tuesday and after that sat in the theater for FOTR EE, TTT EE, and the Premier of ROTK all in a row. We had a 30 min break in between films to go to the rest room and get more popcorn.

I got to the theater at 4 am and left at 2 am 😛

i've never watched the films back to back 😉

You still have to flip the disc no matter which version you watch. They put both versions of the movie on one double sided disc, and half-way through the movie you have to flip the disc.

If you were a die hard fan when the movies came out you would know that tickets sold out within minutes some places for Trilogy Tuesday and it was a big deal. I had a blast. Met a ton of people, won a few prizes, and got a Limited Edition WETA film piece made only for fans who were at Trilogy Tuesday.

I wanted to attend a trilogy screening of the movies, but I couldn't find a screening close to me.

It is called being a fan....How about people camping out for days just to get tickets to see Star Wars, or dressing up as Harry Potter come the opening weekend.

You are on a movie sight and more specifically in the Lord of the Rings Forum in which people here have quite the passion for the films.

If you yourself can't last 3 hours without taking a break when watching a movie, I suppose that is why they put pause buttons on DVD players!
