Yeah you're very lucky. My hair doesn't grow super slow but it doesn't grow as fast as I want it to. I've had my hair short since November of 2006, it's time to go back to the "real" me. I had had long hair for the first 17.5 years of my life.

in 2 years my hair grew almost 10 inches
