Well, you could join a surf school or something, though I'm not really keen on them as they make people ride those horrible pieces of foam and inhibit having your own style. Or just rent or buy a board, find a beach near you on www.magicseaweed.com and just have a session, see if you enjoy it.

i used to skateboard alot. I loved it.

Yeah, I skate quite a bit too, good fun. I'm getting really into skimboarding at the moment, when there's good shore breaking waves, it can be more exhilarating than surfing. Plus, you get to use a lot of tricks and styles from skateboarding.

From actual good surfing beaches, about the same as you. But from just beaches in general, that sometimes (very rarely) get good, about 10 minutes drive.

ahh, see, we don't even have beaches for about 20/30 miles 😆

I tried surfing when I was a child on holiday, I fell and it was fun 😂
