Anyways, I tried to do some more boardering stuff, and i think it turned out ok. Not bad considering I don't use photoshop.

they're okay but theres more to gimp than opacity changeing and smudging.

Yeah. I'm playing around with boarders right now, as I never really made too many sigs with boarders before. I'll keep playing around after I'm done with boarder experiments though.
