A Century of Innovation

The 20th Century saw many innovations that have affected the way we live. Which inventions or scientific breakthroughs of the 20th Century do you think have made the most impact on humanity and human society?

Some that immediately come to mind are oral contraceptives, computers, the worldwide web, television and cell phones. If you can narrow it down, name the ten you think have been the most significant.

Internet; specifically it's ability to explicitly educate and simultaneously encourage people, if only subconsciously, to easily search out what they'd like to learn and research it.

Interestingly enough the other innovations mentioned, television, computers and the contraceptive pill have all been integral to the porn industry.

I'd consider the automobile a 19th Century invention since that was when they were.. you know... invented... (although they weren't mass produced proper until the 20th).
