"Street Cowboy" Storyline

This is a storyline I wrote for a story that I may write as a comic book and/or as a script. Tell me what you think of the story and if you'd like to read what happens next because it's going to be a three part series. This is the first part.

Act I:
Jack Stone (Tentative) is a preacher in a small town in Nevada. Most people live in the center of the town;however, those who don't live in the wastelands (former nuclear test sites). He sits in his church office listening to a radio that plays songs from the 1950 and 1960's. After a few moments the radio goes static and sirens from a small gambling city about fifteen miles away can be heard. Jack leaves the church and runs to his house nearby. He goes into the the basement and sees his wife crying. She asks if they're dropping nuclear bombs. Jack says he doesn't know. The sirens aburptly stop and are replaced with a low howling that gradually gets louder. As the howling becomes louder, the sand hitting against the house becomes more intense until the howling sounds like a train. Everything begins to shake, the house begins collapsing. The noise is deafening. Everything goes dark.

A Few Hours Later:
Jack and Priscilla (tentative) dig themselves out from the rubble. Jack notices that every building in town has been destroyed. He goes to where the master bedroom was and finds his safe. He opens it and takes out an old dog-tag, two .357 Colt Pythons, and a holster. He tells his wife they should go to the city. She objects and asks about the neighbors. He says there's not much they can do for them and that once they make it to the city they'll send help back. She asks "Is this the apocalypse?" He replies "No... This is only the beginning." They decide the fastest way to the city on foot is by the highway, and maybe they'll find working cars. In order to get to the highway, they have to go through the wastelands.
They venture on foot through the wastelands on the road that leads to the highway. After an hour or two of walking they are approached by a man who introduces himself as Iglesias. He resembles Steve Buscemi. He is dirty and wearing only an oversized trench coat, underwear, and boots. He insists that they buy dried lizard jerky from him now that the end has come. Jack says no thanks. Iglesias pulls out a knife on them. Jack agrees to buy the jerky to make Iglesias content. Iglesias now satisfied runs off towards the town [Ellis] (tentative).
Jack and Priscilla reach the highway before the evening and see a group of people camped out on the highway in the distance. They walk faster and reach the group before nightfall. In the group is one child, a few adults, and a mysterious man with a flat rimmed hat. He stands up, he is tall with long white hair, wearing black jeans, black vest and a black trenchcoat. He introduces himself as Mortimer (resembles Christopher Lloyd) and says he was a Priest in the neighboring town of Baker. The group has a radio that is broadcasting a religious talkshow from a man who calls himself "The Rapture". As they talk through the night with Mortimer, Jack notices his views are strict, conservative, and very disciplined. They hear gun shots and see large fires coming from the city in the distance. They are about to turn off the radio to go to sleep when "The Rapture" says that Jack and Mortimer must find him because he is a messanger. A voice from God. The group debates for the rest of the night whether or not to find the Rapture, and when.
The next morning Mortimer and the group decide to find the Rapture and find out what he wants. Jack and Priscilla decide to go to the city. Upon entering the city, they notice men with semi-automatics fighting with men carrying pistols. Because of this, Jack and Priscilla decide to sneak into the city.

Act II:
They enter the city to see rival gangs fighting with the ruling force that has claimed control of the city, the "Lords of Freedom" (tentative). Many of the men with the main controlling force are cops. Most buildings are in ruins. There are bodies being piled in the streets but former firemen. Jack and Priscilla decide to approach one of them. The man arms his gun. Jack explains they want help. The man takes them four blocks to one of the only standing buildings, a casino. The casino is gaurded by eight to ten men. Upon entering the lobby, they see families and couples holding each other. They are taken up four flights of stairs and led down a hallway. Four men are outside an office guarding it. They go into the office. Inside there are anothe four men (two on either side). A short, muscular man sits behind a desk in a large leather chair. He asks what they want. Jack explains they want a place to stay until things are figured out. The man in the chair [King] agrees as long as Priscilla stays and serves him. Jack refuses. King looks at Jack's guns and accuses him of being a spy for a rival gang and that's why he has guns. Jack tries to explain. King orders that Jack be killed and that Priscilla stay with him. Jack punches the man in the door in the face and they run out the door, through the hallway, down the stairs, and out of the casino. They run down alleys and backroads in the city as men chase them until they reach the desert. They run until they're behind a sand dune. The man continue following them then give up. They return to the casino and tell King. King orders and assassin to kill Jack ("That spy"😉 and his wife, then bring Jack's body back to be hung on the streets as an example to other rival gangs.

Act III:
Jack and Priscilla wait until the men following them are back in the city before they head to the city. They go as far as they can until they can go no further. They rest. The assassin (a man whose features are hidden by the large black robes he wears) catches up to them. Priscilla wakes up and sees the assassin twenty feet away. She asks if he needs help. The assassin shoots her in the stomach. Jack awakes from the gunshot and his wife collapses by him. He holds her and stands up, fixing his holster and going into the road. Storm clouds in the distance mix with the brown dusty sky, approaching them. Jack and the assassin stare at each other until Jack pulls out his Colt Pythons. He fires the Colt Python in his right hand while aiming the one in the left. The assassin fires at him, holes tearing into his robes. Jack shoots with his left hand. The bullet goes into the assassins head. The storm clouds arrive as Jack holds his wife till she's gone.

The Next Morning:
Jack gathers what remaining ammunition he has left and promises he'll come back for his wife. He leaves for the city and arrives around mid-day. He enters the city through the backroads. He overhears chatter of an attack on the casino by a rival gang and follows them. The gang attacks the casino and the gaurds outside. A stand-off begins. Jack sneaks into the Casino and climbs up the stairs. Upon entering the hallway he takes out the men standing out front of the office. Two with his right Python, Two with his left. He enters the office and does the same. The back of King's chair is facing Jack. King tries to rationalize how everyone is trying to survive, and must do what needs to be done to survive. The chair spins around. King is holding a .44 Magnum. King tries to tell Jack that Jack doesn't want to shoot him, and that there's been enough death already. Jack brings up the Pythons and shoots at the King twice with his right Python. The King shoots. He's hit in the side. Jack aims and fires his left Python. The King collapses out of his head. Jack walks over and stomps his face. He leaves through the fire escape. Jack makes his way through the city, finding the nearest gun store and gathers as much ammo as he can. He finds a motorcycle nearby and rides it out of the city on the highway as the firefight ensues out front of the Casino. Jack goes to his wife and buries her. He continues riding until he reaches a gas station. He turns the pumps on and refills the motorcycle and fills up four gas jugs. He places them on the motorcycle like gear on a horse. He grabs water and beef jerky and rides off into the sunset towards The Rapture.
